  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2/3 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oat flour , (rolled oats in food processor)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt


  1. Whisk together buttermilk, yogurt, eggs, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
  2. Sift together whole wheat flour, oat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until just combined.
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes.

  5. Scoop 1/4 cup of batter into small waffle maker and cook until crispy on the edges, about 3-4 minutes.
