  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined (13-15 or 16-20 count are best)
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 lime zested and juiced
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  1. Add the canola oil to a large cast iron skillet on high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan and sear quickly on both sides, roughly 30-45 seconds on each side.
  3. Add the chili powder and salt and stir quickly.
  4. Remove from the heat and add in the lime juice and honey and stir.
