Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined (16-20 count)
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar unpacked
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • sesame seeds for garnish optional

Instructions

  1. Add the canola oil to a large skillet on medium high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes on each side before removing the shrimp from the skillet.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to the skillet and whisk well, cooking until thickened.
  4. Add the shrimp back to the skillet and coat the shrimp before serving.
